Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

I have been using this foundation for a few months now and I really like it!

This foundation is perfect for everyday wear; it feels incredibly light, is not cakey and easily gets me through six hours with no touch ups (I have normal to dry skin). Sheer Glowprovides a glowing (as the name suggests!), natural finish with a medium (not really "sheer" coverage as the name suggests), buildable coverage.  This foundation is perfect for those who may get slightly drier in winter as it is quite a hydrating foundation and it doesn’t cling to any dry patches. It blurs imperfections, sunspots and uneven skin tones to create a flawless result.

I love applying this foundation with damp Beauty Blender (rinsing it under water and squeezing out the excess or alternatively spraying with MAC Fix +). It glides on flawlessly and allows me to achieve a perfect coverage.

This foundation does not contain SPF hence it is perfect for flash photography as will not create the dreaded white cast. This makes this foundation ideal for special events such as weddings and formals. However for everyday, I do apply a moisturiser with SPF so ensure my skin is protected from the sun.

One of the best things about this foundation is the range of colours available; there are 19 shades with both warm and cool undertones.  I have  a few of these shades (shown darkest to lightest) which I mix and match.  The first two have yellow undertones, the last has a more neutral undertone.

If your skin is on the oily or combo side, this foundation is probably not the best for you and you may find you get oily quicker-an alternative is NARS Sheer Matte.

Overall, I really like this foundation! I love that my skin still feels like skin, and has enough coverage to hide my imperfections.

Let me know if you have tried the NARSSheer Glow Foundation and what you think about it!

Three Lipstick Must-Have's

MAC’s lipstick in Snob has been one of my favourites for quite a while now! This colour is a cool toned light pink and compliments practically any makeup look so I always tend to grab it when I’m in a rush. Snob has a matte finish with a satin sheen-which is perfect for me as I find matte finishes can be sometimes drying.

Another MAC shade, which I have been obsessing over, is Heroine, a stunning bold purple. This shade is extremely pigmented and creamy and has a great lasting power. This tone is a definite winter must-have; it looks gorgeous on pale complexions and makes the skin look more vibrant and fresh because of the cool undertones. This is a matte shade, so I recommend exfoliating your lips (you can make your own by mixing brown sugar and honey), applying a very thin layer of lip balm and lining your lips.

My hands-down, favourite red lipstick is Georgio Armani Rouge d’Armani in the shade 400. This is a cool-toned, deep red lipstick, which looks stunning with a very natural eye and winged eyeliner. The lasting power of this lipstick is incredible; easily 6-8 hours, I can even eat with this lipstick and it will not budge! Although this is a matte lipstick, I don’t find it drying as long as I apply a very thin layer of lip balm for extra moisture.

I hope you enjoyed and let me know your favorite lipstick in the comments!
